Test Automation Engineer / Technical Software Tester (Android, Vehicle Systems)
Contract assignment with the Swedish Police Authority for a senior technical tester/test automation engineer in Vehicle Systems. You will own end-to-end testing for software used in police cars: writing and maintaining automated tests, executing manual tests on a test bench and in vehicles, managing regression test cases in Zephyr, and taking a leading role in establishing test environments and test automation on a new Android platform. Manual testing of new/changed functionality on the test bench and in the police car

Drive the work of setting up the Police Authority's test environments on a new Android platform.

Write and manage regression test cases in Zephyr

Regression test the entire product before release on the test bench and in vehicles

Represent test and convey test needs at various team meetings

The consultant must have good ability to express himself/herself verbally and in writing in Swedish

The consultant must have at least 4 years of documented experience working as a technical software tester. The experience must have been acquired within the last 5 years.

The consultant should have at least 4 years of practical experience in app test automation

The consultant must have at least 4 years of practical experience in development in an agile way of working

The consultant should have experience working with test automation of Android apps

The consultant must have post-secondary education in IT, or other relevant education or experience that the employer deems equivalent.

Essential
Required Qualifications
Swedish language (verbal and written)
Technical software testing (4+ years within last 5 years)
App test automation (4+ years practical)
Agile development ways of working (4+ years practical)
Android app test automation experience
Manual testing (including regression)
Test case management and regression testing in Zephyr
Post-secondary IT education or equivalent experience

Nice to Have
Automated testing for iOS apps
Testing hardware-related software (embedded/vehicle-adjacent)
Valid B driving license
Ability to lead a sub-area / small group (test automation setup)
Experience setting up/maintaining test environments for Android platforms
