Supply Chain Data Scientist / Analytics Consultant (Forecasting & Optimization)
This role focuses on using data-driven insights to improve supply chain performance across demand/supply/inventory. The candidate will build and tune statistical/ML forecasting models, perform end-to-end data preparation (ingestion, cleaning, validation, feature engineering, visualization), and apply optimization techniques to improve cost, efficiency, and service levels. Machine Learning for Forecasting

Apply and refine statistical/ML-based forecasting models

Perform data ingestion, cleaning, validation, visualization, and feature engineering, configuring forecasting models

Tune and evaluate forecasting models

Communicate insights clearly to stakeholders

Supply Chain Optimization: Apply optimization models/algorithms to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.

Consulting & Advisory: Act as an analytics SME, guiding teams on best practices, tools, and data-driven decision approaches.

Process Improvement: Identify gaps in supply chain processes and recommend data-backed improvements.

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Supply Chain, or related fields.

Experience: 6–18 years in data science or supply chain analytics, with strong exposure to forecasting, statistical/ML modeling, or supply chain planning analytics.

Essential
Required Qualifications
Supply chain analytics with demand/supply/inventory data
Forecasting using statistical and/or ML models
Python or R
SQL
Data ingestion, cleaning, validation, and feature engineering
Model tuning and evaluation (forecast accuracy/validation)
Applied statistics (distributions, hypothesis testing, regression)
Data visualization and communicating insights to stakeholders
Optimization modeling/algorithms applied to supply chain problems
Preferred

Experience with supply chain planning systems
Hands-on ML beyond forecasting (classification, clustering)
Operations Research / Industrial Engineering background
Consulting/advisory experience as analytics SME
