Software License Management / SAM Lead (Contract)
Contract role in Västerås to define and drive a global Software Asset Management (SAM) / License Management strategy, governance and controls. The consultant will lead the end-to-end software license lifecycle (entitlements, usage, demand, renewals and optimization), own compliance and audit readiness (reconciliations, license positions, risk remediation), manage key vendor licensing relationships and support commercial/terms discussions with Sourcing and Legal, and ensure high-quality data and effective use of SAM tooling such as ServiceNow SAM Pro (or equivalent) including reporting and automation.

Required Qualifications
Software Asset Management (SAM) / License Management strategy and governance
End-to-end software license lifecycle management (entitlements, usage, demand, renewals, optimization)
License compliance management and audit readiness
License reconciliation and Effective License Position (ELP) / license position management
Risk identification and remediation related to licensing
Vendor licensing management and interpretation of licensing terms
SAM tool ownership and data quality management (ServiceNow SAM Pro or equivalent)
Reporting and process automation for license management
Cross-functional stakeholder management with Sourcing/Procurement, Legal, Finance, IS/IT and business stakeholders
Preferred

Commercial negotiation support for renewals and vendor discussions
Experience with vendor management operating models
Advanced analytics for usage optimization and cost savings
Knowledge of common publisher licensing models (e.g., subscription, perpetual, SaaS)
