Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) – Security Data Platforms (Database Reliability)
Contract SRE role within a Security Data & AI Lab focused on improving reliability, observability and automation for critical compliance monitoring and security data platforms. The engineer will support CI/CD and deployment automation, and provide strong enterprise database operations capability (Oracle/DB2/SAP HANA/SQL Server) including SQL performance tuning, monitoring, backup/recovery/DR, and resolving database/application/infrastructure bottlenecks, with an emphasis on secure, resilient and highly available services.

Automation for reliability improvements
Observability/monitoring to improve operational insight
CI/CD pipeline support and deployment automation
Enterprise database support (Oracle Database, IBM DB2, SAP HANA, Microsoft SQL Server)
Strong SQL skills (query optimisation, troubleshooting, performance tuning)
Database monitoring (health, utilisation, availability, performance)
Backup, recovery, replication and disaster recovery (DR) understanding
Performance bottleneck identification and resolution across database/application/infrastructure
Database security controls, auditing and operational governance
Understanding of large-scale operational data platforms and mission-critical services
