Senior SAS Platform Administrator / Production Support (SAS 9.4)

Senior contractor to ensure availability, stability, performance, security and continuous evolution of corporate SAS 9.4 environments (preferably SAS Grid and SAS Visual Analytics). The role focuses on production support and operations: monitoring, incident/problem/change handling (ITIL/Jira), performance and capacity troubleshooting across OS/network/storage/DB layers, patching/upgrades, access management, backup/restore/DR, and automation/integrations using SAS, SQL and Linux shell. Requires strong Linux/Unix administration, observability (preferably Dynatrace), OCI cloud fundamentals, intermediate/advanced English, and availability for on-call in São Paulo time zone.

Responsibilities

What You'll Be Doing.

Every role at Ubique contributes directly to solving meaningful business challenges for our clients.

Manage and sustain SAS 9.4 environments, preferably SAS Grid, SAS Visual Analytics and related components, in production and non-production.

Monitor availability, capacity and performance; investigate CPU, memory, network, storage, and I/O bottlenecks, with log and evidence analysis.

Act on alerts, incidents, problems, requests and changes, performing troubleshooting, mitigation, cause analysis and follow-up until stabilization.

Plan and execute patches, hotfixes, upgrades, changes, configurations and post-deployment validations, with return plan and evidence.

Manage users, groups, permissions, authentication and metadata, applying security and segregation of access.

Maintain backup, restore, recovery, high availability and continuity routines, participating in tests when applicable.

Support integrations, scheduling, ETL/ELT flows, and automations through SAS, SQL, and Linux/Shell scripts.

Maintain documentation, architecture, inventory/CMDB, runbooks, knowledge base, ANO/RACI and operational procedures updated.

Interact with manufacturers, infrastructure, storage, networks, databases, Cloud and user areas, organizing evidence and scheduling.

Monitor demands, incidents, problems and changes in Jira, respecting ITIL processes, SLAs and operational governance.

Participate in the on-call schedule and act in critical events outside the regular hours, as planned.

SAS 9.4 administration and sustainment in corporate production environments

High availability operations for SAS platforms (backup/restore, recovery, continuity/DR routines)

SAS Grid administration (preferred/required per description)

SAS Management Console administration

SAS Metadata Server administration

SAS Workspace Server and Stored Process Server administration

SAS Visual Analytics administration/support

SAS ecosystem monitoring tools and log/evidence analysis

Linux/Unix administration (processes, services, permissions, troubleshooting)

Shell scripting for automation and operational tasks

Performance troubleshooting end-to-end (CPU, memory, network, storage, I/O)

Fundamentals of networking, storage/NFS, load balancing, and databases

Access management (users/groups/permissions), authentication, segregation of duties

Patching/hotfixes/upgrades and post-deployment validation with rollback planning

ITIL processes (incident, problem, change, request)

Jira for operational tracking (incidents/problems/changes/requests)

Observability/monitoring experience (Dynatrace preferred)

OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) fundamentals: architecture, security, networking, compute

Intermediate/advanced English for documentation and supplier calls

On-call availability aligned to customer schedule (America/Sao Paulo)
