Senior PLC/SCADA/MES Automation Engineer (OPC UA, Siemens/Rockwell)

Contract role based in Sanand for a senior automation engineer to program, simulate, test and commission multi-vendor PLC systems (Siemens TIA Portal/S7, Rockwell Studio 5000/Logix, Mitsubishi GX Works) with strong hands-on OPC UA (data modeling/namespace/security) and industrial networks (Profinet, Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP, EtherCAT, etc.). The role includes PLC–SCADA–MES interface design, tag structuring and MES tag mapping, FAT/SAT and commissioning, troubleshooting PLC/drives/automation failures, and producing control documentation (FDS, IO lists, cause-effect matrices, architecture diagrams). Safety PLC and robot safety integration plus experience in automotive lines (BIW/powertrain/conveyors) are important; battery manufacturing exposure is preferred.

PLC programming and commissioning (Siemens S7/TIA Portal, Rockwell Studio 5000/RSLogix for CompactLogix/ControlLogix, Mitsubishi GX Works)

Ladder Logic programming

STL (Statement List) coding

OPC UA hands-on (client/server configuration, data modeling, namespace design, secure communication)

Industrial communication protocols: Profinet, Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP (and general TCP/IP)

SCADA/HMI programming (FactoryTalk Optix, FactoryTalk View/Overview)

PLC–SCADA–MES integration (interface design, tag structuring, data acquisition strategies, MES tag mapping)

FAT/SAT, testing, simulation, commissioning activities

Troubleshooting PLC programs, electrical faults, automation failures

Drives commissioning/configuration: VFDs and servo drives (Siemens, SEW, ABB, Mitsubishi)

Control system documentation: FDS, IO list validation, cause-effect matrices, alarm list, architecture diagrams, FAT/SAT reports

Siemens Safety PLC implementation/testing

Robot safety systems integration (Safe Move, DCS, STO)

Multi-vendor automation environment support and onsite technical support/training

SQL/database connectivity for MES integration and performance issue handling
