Senior Next.js / React (TypeScript) Frontend Engineer (Contract)

Contract role in Paris (occasional remote) for a senior Next.js engineer to design, evolve and maintain high-performance web applications using the latest Next.js features (App Router, Server Components, Server Actions). The role requires deep React 19+ and advanced TypeScript skills to build reusable, strongly typed components, plus strong web performance expertise (caching, CDN optimization, Core Web Vitals). You will integrate REST/GraphQL APIs, contribute to a design-system-oriented styling approach, and industrialize delivery with Git/GitLab/Jenkins CI/CD and solid unit/integration testing in an Agile environment. Media/video streaming, accessibility, and Jira/Confluence are valued extras; occasional on-call/evening/weekend interventions may be needed.

What You'll Be Doing.

Design and evolve a modern Next.js architecture based on the App Router, Server Components, and Server Actions.

Develop high-performance, reusable, and maintainable React 19+ components by applying Hooks, composition patterns, and concurrent rendering features.

Ensure robust TypeScript code through the advanced use of Generics, Utility Types, complex inference, and adaptive quality rules.

Improve overall application performance with cache management, CDN optimization, and Web Vitals tracking.

Integrate and make data sources reliable via REST and GraphQL APIs, ensuring the security, resilience and quality of exchanges.

Implement a consistent styling strategy with CSS Modules, Styled-components or PandaCSS, contributing to the structuring of an accessible Design System.

Industrialize development and delivery processes with Git, GitLab, Jenkins, and repeatable CI/CD pipelines.

Define and implement unit and integration test coverage to secure upgrades and releases.

Contribute to Agile rituals and practices, including Scrum or Kanban, and facilitate arbitrations and exchanges around technical choices.

Provide, when necessary, complementary expertise on media projects, video streaming, digital accessibility and Jira or Confluence tools.

Exceptionally provide for on-call duty or interventions in the evening and on weekends according to the operational needs of the project.
