Senior Java Developer (Test Automation / SDET) – Fund Trading Platform

Senior Java developers with strong test automation skills needed for a Fund Trading Platform team rebuilding a solution that processes external mutual fund orders across Sweden, Norway and Finland. You will design and build Java 21/Spring Boot microservices and integrations (REST, Kafka, MS SQL) and also own automated testing across unit, integration, API and UI layers (JUnit, Cucumber, REST Assured, Playwright/Selenium) integrated into CI/CD (Git/Jenkins). The role expects a quality-first mindset, ability to validate async/event-driven flows end-to-end, and to perform focused manual/exploratory testing when automation is not cost-effective. English and Swedish are required; location Stockholm; contract full-time until 2027-03-31.

2x Senior Developer withTest automation skills

The role combines software development ownership with an expectation to work efficiently as an automation tester.

Quality is built into the development lifecycle, and the developer is expected to

Design, implement and maintain scalable backend services, integrations and frontend functionality

Write clean, maintainable and testable code using sound object-oriented design principles and patterns

Create and maintain automated tests for functional, regression, integration, API and UI scenarios using JUnit, Cucumber and relevant supporting tools

Validate REST APIs, Kafka-based event flows and database integrity as part of feature development

Contribute to reusable test automation frameworks, test data preparation and reliable test execution in CI/CD pipelines

Plan and execute focused manual and exploratory testing when automation is not feasible or cost-effective

Analyze test results, troubleshoot defects and collaborate closely with Product Management, DevOps and other developers to deliver secure, reliable solutions

Continuously improve development, testing and delivery practices by automating repetitive work

Strong software development experience with Java 21+ and Spring Boot
