Senior Infrastructure Specialist (Industrial/OT)
Senior Infrastructure Specialist needed for an onsite consulting assignment in Västerås within a large international industrial/technology organization. The role is broad and hands-on across Windows Server and Linux administration, virtualization (Hyper-V/VMware/Proxmox), enterprise networking and segmentation, SAN/NAS/storage (iSCSI/FC/ZFS), backup and disaster recovery (Veeam/Commvault), cybersecurity hardening and secure remote access, plus automation (PowerShell/Python/Ansible) and Docker. You will act as a senior escalation point, lead complex troubleshooting, support IT/OT integration with factory environments (PLC/SCADA/industrial networks), and contribute to infrastructure projects, standards and documentation. Swedish and English proficiency required.

This is a broad and highly technical role within a complex enterprise and industrial IT environment. You will work hands-on across infrastructure, virtualization, networking, cybersecurity, backup and recovery, Windows and Linux platforms, as well as Industrial IT and Operational Technology (OT).

The ideal candidate is a senior and self-sufficient infrastructure professional who is comfortable moving between hands-on troubleshooting, technical design, industrial IT environments, and strategic infrastructure initiatives.

As a Senior Infrastructure Specialist, you will

Administer and maintain Windows Server and Linux environments, including Debian, Ubuntu and RHEL-based distributions.

Manage virtualization platforms such as Hyper-V, VMware and Proxmox VE.

Design, operate and troubleshoot storage solutions including SAN, NAS, iSCSI, Fibre Channel and ZFS-based systems.

Administer backup solutions such as Veeam Backup & Replication and Commvault.

Design, test and execute disaster recovery, infrastructure migration and recovery procedures.

Design and troubleshoot enterprise networks, including VLANs, Layer 2/Layer 3 services, fibre infrastructure, wireless networks and firewalls.

Support infrastructure hardening, certificate-based authentication and secure remote access solutions.

Support the integration between enterprise IT and factory/industrial automation environments.
