Senior Data Engineer (8–12 years) needed on contract in Warsaw to design, build, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines on Microsoft Azure. Must have experience with ETL Components like Snowflake, Airflow, Talend, MS Azure services such as Data Lake Storage, Data Factory, Databricks, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, Functions

Technical expertise with data models, data mining, analytics and segmentation techniques

Knowledge of programming languages and environments such as Python, Java, Scala, R,.NET/C#

Degree in Computer Science, IT, or similar field; a Master’s is a plus

Microsoft Azure SQL server and DWH, Other data ingestion/transformation tools like Talend etc

Design, build, and optimize ETL/ELT data pipelines.

Develop and maintain data ingestion processes from multiple structured and unstructured data sources.

Essential
Required Qualifications
8–12 years experience in data engineering or similar role
ETL/ELT pipeline design, build, and optimization
Microsoft Azure data services: Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Data Factory (ADF), Databricks, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Functions
ETL/ingestion/transformation tools: Snowflake, Airflow, Talend
Data modeling fundamentals; data mining/analytics/segmentation techniques
Strong SQL and hands-on SQL database design
Programming in one or more: Python, Java, Scala, R,.NET/C#
Data ingestion from structured and unstructured sources
Data warehouse/data lake/data mart concepts and implementation
Data quality, integrity, security, and governance practices
Monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of data pipelines
