Senior Civil & Structural Designer needed on contract in Chennai to independently execute and lead civil/structural 3D design for Oil & Gas / refinery / petrochemical EPC projects. Essential
Required Qualifications
SmartPlant 3D (SP3D/S3D) structural 3D modeling (advanced)
Tekla Structures steel modeling and detailing (advanced)
RCC foundations modeling (equipment/pipe rack/buildings)
Structural steel modeling for pipe racks/equipment structures/platforms/stairs/handrails
GA drawings and fabrication drawings preparation/extraction
MTO/BOQ extraction and validation from 3D models
Oil & Gas / Petrochemical / Refinery EPC project experience
Navisworks (or equivalent) for model review/clash review
Interdisciplinary coordination (Process/Piping/Mechanical/E&I) for layout and interfaces
AutoCAD and/or SmartSketch
Knowledge of international structural standards (AISC, ACI, IS, BS, Eurocode)
Ability to resolve clashes and incorporate model review comments
EPC workflow understanding and deliverable sequencing
Preferred
Nice to Have
Rebar detailing (where applicable)
Fabrication-driven modeling experience in Tekla
Greenfield and brownfield constraint handling (explicitly mentioned; treated as beneficial beyond core modeling)
Client/PMC/licensor-facing model review facilitation
Excel proficiency for MTOs and reporting
