Senior CAD automation developer needed on contract (5–10 years) to build, deploy, and support engineering productivity tools across PTC Creo and Siemens NX. The role focuses on customization/automation using Creo PRO/TOOLKIT and NXOpen/UFUNC (including UI extensions like menus/toolbars and NX Block Styler), plus parametric design automation, model validation, and CAD data extraction/standardization. You will also support CAD-to-PLM/PDM integrations (Windchill and Teamcenter) including attribute/metadata mapping and synchronization, using strong C++ with C# and Java (for Windchill-related customization/integration).

What You'll Be Doing.

Design, develop, test, deploy, and support custom automation solutions using PTC Creo PRO/TOOLKIT APIs.

Create and maintain Creo customization applications that improve engineering productivity and design consistency.

Develop tools for CAD model creation, validation, data extraction, drawing/assembly support, and design standardization.

Support Creo user interface and workflow customizations, including optional exposure to Creo VB API or J-Link.

Design, develop, test, and deploy custom automation applications using Siemens NXOpen APIs and UFUNC.

Develop custom NX menu integrations, toolbar extensions, user interfaces, and NX Block Styler applications.

Create automation tools to streamline engineering design, simulation, model validation, and data management workflows.

Develop reusable frameworks, utilities, and shared components to improve engineering productivity across CAD platforms.

Implement parametric modeling and design automation solutions across Creo and NX.

Automate generation, validation, and standardization of CAD models, assemblies, drawings, attributes, and engineering data.

Develop intelligent design automation capabilities that reduce manual effort and support repeatable engineering processes.

Support engineering quality improvements through model checks, data validation, and workflow automation.

PTC Creo Parametric customization and automation

Creo PRO/TOOLKIT API development

Siemens NX customization and automation (NX v2007+)

NXOpen API development

UFUNC (NX User Functions)

NX UI customization (menus/toolbars) and/or NX Block Styler

Strong C++ (object-oriented programming)

C# (practical development)

Java for Windchill-related customization/integration

CAD automation for models/assemblies/drawings (creation, validation, data extraction, standardization)

PLM/PDM integration concepts (CAD-PDM synchronization, attribute mapping, metadata management)

PTC Windchill and/or Siemens Teamcenter exposure in engineering workflows

Visual Studio and debugging skills

Source control (Git or equivalent)
