Senior BI Developer / BI Technical Lead (Databricks + Power BI)

Senior BI Developer/consultant needed for a data transformation to help stand up and standardize a scalable Databricks + Power BI analytics platform in Stockholm. The assignment is hands-on but with strategic responsibility: define platform setup (workspaces, deployment pipelines, security), build and evolve the semantic layer, set standards/patterns for self-service BI (modeling, DAX, naming, visual design, certified datasets), and coach/train analysts and business users. Strong Kimball/star-schema modeling and advanced DAX are required, plus the ability to drive adoption and change management in a medium/large organization. Swedish language is required; contract is full-time.

For our client we are looking for a BI Developer

Together with the Product Owner, you are responsible for the plan and implementation of Databricks and Power BI as a scalable reporting and analysis platform

Capture business requirements and translate them into the right solutions.

Drive change management in the Heart Analytics Community to increase usage and value.

Lead the analyst team on BI and modeling issues (formally or informally).

Own and develop the semantic layer over time, with connections to underlying data products – not just the PBI layer.

Establish the platform's basic set-up: workspaces, deployment pipelines, security and authorization model.

Define and anchor standards for data modeling, DAX, naming, visual design, certified datasets, and reusable components.

Contribute to the control model for key figures and dimensions as well as to the self-service model.

Coach report builders, analysts and users at different maturity levels.

Develop training materials, templates and documentation, and ensure knowledge transfer so we can stand on our own two feet after the assignment.

Pure platform architect with no coaching interest, developer who wants to build the reports for us, or strategy consultant without hands-on Power BI knowledge.
