SAP Basis Shift Lead / Team Lead (S/4HANA, HANA, SolMan)
Looking for a SAP Basis Shift Lead (5–8.5 years) to run 24x7/shift operations for a 10–15 member Basis team in Pune on a contract role. The person will lead shift execution, incident/change management (ITIL), and deliver Basis support across S/4HANA, Business Suite and EWM landscapes, including monitoring, performance tuning, transport management (ChaRM/CTMS), system refreshes/upgrades/patching, and SAP HANA administration and troubleshooting (ERP/BW/BW4HANA). The role also partners with infrastructure teams on sizing and HA/DR planning, maintains documentation/audit readiness, and coaches junior consultants.

Deliver SAP Basis support across S/4HANA, Business Suite, EWM, and associated landscapes

Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, transport management (ChaRM/CTMS)

Handle data growth analysis, security updates, deletion/partitioning, system refreshes, and upgrades

Manage SAP HANA, including performance optimization and troubleshooting across ERP, BW, BW4HANA

Drive incident and change management in line with ITIL practices

Create and maintain shift rosters, ensure task allocation and productivity improvement

Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure planning, system sizing, HA/DR strategies

Maintain system documentation, support IT audits, and ensure compliance

Provide RCA, support patching, upgrades, and kernel/database maintenance
11
Train junior consultants and ensure knowledge sharing within the team

Essential
Required Qualifications
SAP Basis administration (ABAP + Java stack)
SAP S/4HANA and SAP Business Suite Basis support
SAP HANA administration and troubleshooting (including performance optimization)
System monitoring and performance tuning (CPU/memory/I-O)
Transport management using ChaRM and/or CTMS
SAP installations, system refreshes/copies, upgrades, patching, kernel/database maintenance
ITIL-based incident management and change management
Leadership/shift operations management for a team (10–15; stated as proven leadership of 15–20 in shifts)
Infrastructure planning/sizing and architecture-related tasks (independent execution)
System documentation, audit/compliance support, RCA
OS administration exposure: Unix/Linux/Windows
Database exposure: HANA plus at least some of ASE/Oracle/DB2/MaxDB
User administration / user management
Data growth analysis and housekeeping (deletion/partitioning)
Security updates (Basis-side)
