SAP Basis Consultant

Hire a SAP Basis Consultant (6–12 years) to own end-to-end SAP Basis administration and technical support across SAP landscapes including S/4HANA, ECC, HANA DB and SAP BTP. The role covers installations/upgrades/migrations, system refreshes and client copies, transport and change management across DEV/QAS/PRD, performance monitoring and troubleshooting, HANA backup/recovery/replication and tuning, and configuration/support for Fiori, Gateway, Web Dispatcher, Solution Manager and Cloud Connector. The consultant will also implement HA/DR, support hybrid integration between on-prem SAP and BTP services, ensure security/audit compliance, and collaborate with functional/infrastructure/cloud teams.

Responsibilities

What You'll Be Doing.

Own SAP Basis administration and technical support activities across SAP landscapes.

Execute SAP system installations, upgrades, migrations, refreshes and maintenance activities.

Manage SAP HANA database administration including backups, restores, performance optimization and monitoring.

Support S/4HANA transformation programs, implementation projects and production support engagements.

Configure and maintain SAP BTP connectivity, Cloud Connector and hybrid integration scenarios.

Perform root cause analysis and resolve system performance, availability and infrastructure-related issues.

Coordinate with SAP functional teams, infrastructure teams, cloud teams and external vendors for project execution.

Plan and execute maintenance windows, patching activities and technical upgrades with minimal business disruption.

Monitor system KPIs and proactively identify opportunities for optimization and automation.

Participate in disaster recovery testing, audit activities and compliance reviews.

Provide technical guidance to junior team members and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

SAP Basis administration (S/4HANA and/or ECC)

SAP HANA database administration (backup/restore, monitoring, performance tuning)

SAP system installation, upgrade, migration and patching (including kernel upgrades)

System monitoring and performance troubleshooting (work processes, background jobs, system health)

Transport management and landscape/change management across DEV/QAS/PRD

System refresh and client copy activities

High availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity for SAP

User administration and technical authorizations

SAP BTP connectivity and SAP Cloud Connector (hybrid scenarios)

Support/configuration for SAP Fiori, SAP Gateway and SAP Web Dispatcher

Root cause analysis and incident/problem resolution

Security, audit and compliance adherence for SAP systems

Technical documentation and operational procedures
