QA Engineer (Web, API & Automation) — React/FastAPI with Agentic AI Testing

Contract QA Engineer needed to own end-to-end quality for enterprise web applications built on React and FastAPI with agentic/LLM features. The role spans test planning and documentation, functional/regression/SIT and UAT support, UI and API automation (Playwright/Cypress/Selenium; pytest/Postman), SQL-based data validation, performance/load testing (JMeter/k6/Locust), and CI/CD integration. You will also validate AI output quality (grounding, consistency, tool calls, safety/prompt-injection) and manage defects and reporting in Jira, with validation-ready documentation for regulated (GxP) clients when required.

Responsibilities

What You'll Be Doing.

Analyze requirements and user stories; create test plans, scenarios, test cases, and traceability matrices.

Perform functional, regression, and system integration testing (SIT), and support UAT for web applications.

Build and maintain UI automation using Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium, and API automation using pytest, Postman, or REST Assured.

Test FastAPI services for contract correctness, authentication and role-based access, error handling, and data validation.

Validate the accuracy of analytics outputs against source data using SQL.

Test AI and agentic features for response accuracy, grounding, consistency, tool-call correctness, guardrails, and prompt-injection and safety scenarios; maintain golden datasets with AI engineers.

Plan and run performance and load tests (JMeter, k6, or Locust) for APIs, streaming responses, and long-running jobs.

Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.

Log, triage, and track defects in Jira; publish release quality reports and support go/no-go decisions.

Produce validation-ready test documentation for regulated (GxP) clients where required.

3-5 years of QA experience on web applications, including at least 2 years of test automation.

Hands-on UI automation with Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium using JavaScript/TypeScript or Python.

QA for web applications (functional, regression, SIT, UAT support)

Test planning: test plans, scenarios, test cases, traceability matrices

UI automation with Playwright or Cypress or Selenium

Automation scripting in JavaScript/TypeScript or Python

API testing/automation for REST/JSON and authentication flows (e.g., pytest, Postman, REST Assured or equivalent)

FastAPI service testing: contract correctness, auth/RBAC, error handling, data validation

SQL for data validation (analytics outputs vs source data)

CI/CD integration of automated test suites (GitHub Actions or Jenkins or TeamCity)

Agile QA practices, test design techniques, defect lifecycle

Defect logging/triage/tracking in Jira

Test management tooling (TestRail or Zephyr or Xray)
