As a key member of the Development Team, work closely with teammates to design, develop, and maintain high-quality, useful solutions for our users.

Write clean, scalable, and efficient code with a strong focus on quality.

Participate in code reviews providing constructive feedback to ensure code quality (within the Team and across the Discipline).

Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.

Empowered to make decisions for their team and able to approve and promote code/ functionality through environments to production

Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software, emphasizing quality improvements.

Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in quality assurance and software development and promote these with the team.

Engage with the test discipline within Legal and General to learn, develop, and share best practices.

Lead and educate the team on all aspects of quality assurance efforts: test planning, execution, and automation in the Workforce Management Team (including performing manual testing where you deem automated testing isn’t appropriate).

Support other specialisms across the team as needed (see ‘T-shaped’, below).
