Project Leader – MES & IT System Implementation (Manufacturing)
Contract Project Leader to drive a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) implementation for a large industrial organization in Västerås, Sweden. You will lead a ~10-person cross-functional team and coordinate external system suppliers to deliver an MES solution ready for Go Live, including requirements capture (production/quality/logistics), planning and risk/dependency management, and end-to-end testing (integration, functional, SIT and UAT). Lead and coordinate a team of approximately 10 people within MES and related system projects.

Plan, coordinate and follow up project deliverables, timelines, risks and dependencies.

Lead the development and implementation of the MES solution together with the system supplier.

Drive the project through integration testing, functional testing, system integration testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

Facilitate workshops, decision forums and cross-functional discussions.

Ensure requirements from production, quality and logistics are captured and correctly implemented.

Coordinate dependencies between MES, ERP/SAP and production-related systems.

Support change management, communication and user readiness ahead of Go Live.

Ensure progress across multiple stakeholders and parallel workstreams.

Project leadership / project management for complex IT/system implementations
MES implementation experience (or closely related production/industrial systems)
Manufacturing/production environment experience
Understanding of MES, ERP/SAP and production/shop-floor systems interactions
System integration coordination (MES-ERP and production-related systems)
Testing leadership/coordination: integration testing, functional testing, SIT, UAT
Stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination
Vendor/supplier coordination (external system suppliers)
Planning, risk management, dependency management
Fluent Swedish and English
