Manufacturing System Engineering Lead (Assembly Line Engineering & Design)
Senior manufacturing/industrial engineering professional (15–20 years overall, with 8–10+ years in assembly line engineering & design) to lead end-to-end manufacturing system engineering for assembly lines: bill of process creation, cycle/takt time and station balancing, line/workstation and line-side storage design, replenishment strategy (manual/FLT/AGV/AMR/overhead), tooling/fixture and conveying specifications, HSE assessment, and inputs to controls/IT integration (sensorization, sequencing, data acquisition, inventory/VIN tracking, QMS). The role partners with CAD and simulation teams (material flow/discrete event/ergo), works with line builders/OEMs, drives redesign based on simulation outcomes, manages customer interactions/reviews, estimates effort/schedule, and supports installation/commissioning and post-deployment technical support.

Organize & Schedules weekly calls with Customer & TCS Offshore team
Support Installation / Commissioning and final handover at Customer site
Provide technical support to customer technicians/ engineers after the successful deployment of line design.
Continuously mining new opportunities across various areas within the plant & other sites and developing proactive solutions (may need to visit other sites)

Essential
Required Qualifications
15–20 years overall experience
8–10+ years in assembly line engineering & design
Manufacturing System Engineering (E3 level competency as stated)
Assembly process engineering and Bill of Process (BoP) generation
Cycle time estimation per process step/station
Takt time estimation and line balancing to meet takt
Line design: number of stations, station balancing, physical pitch between workstations
Workstation design including line-side storage for parts/tools/assembly aids
Line-side storage trolley design
Line-side replenishment strategy design (overhead conveying/manual/FLT/AGV/AMR)
Replenishment frequency estimation
Tooling, assembly aid, and inspection aid specification development per station
Fixture design
Conveying system design/specification (type and conveyor speed)
Error-proofing/interlock design (poka-yoke concepts)
Manual vs automation decision-making for assembly operations
FTE/manpower estimation
Utilities estimation at station level (WAGES requirement as stated)
HSE fulfillment assessment
MHE/part loading aids design
