Senior Modeling & Simulation professional (8+ years) to lead and deliver discrete event simulation/material flow analysis projects for manufacturing systems (automotive and non-automotive). Interacting with the Manufacturing System Engineering team
Understanding the requirements and estimating the efforts required
Creating Technical proposals and work with TCS Business teams in providing required inputs for commercials
Defending the simulation outcomes and provide recommendations & alternates.

Essential
Required Qualifications
Discrete Event Simulation (DES) / Material Flow Analysis
Modeling complex manufacturing systems (production, warehouse, material handling, replenishment)
What-if scenario design and execution
Bottleneck analysis
Line balancing
Simulation model logic development based on production logics
At least one simulation tool: FlexSim or Tecnomatix (Plant Simulation) or AnyLogic
Programming in at least one of: FlexScript, SimTalk, C++, Python
Industrial engineering metrics/terminology: takt time, cycle time, MTBF, MTTR/MTBR, OEE
Custom report development and interpretation to recommend changes
Hands-on delivery/ownership of simulation projects with customer/stakeholder interaction
Effort estimation and technical proposal inputs
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent)
Preferred
Nice to Have
Excel VBA and strong Microsoft Office usage
3D modeling and CAD tools experience
Developing custom libraries/components for simulation tools
Plant layout, logistics, and assembly process knowledge
Mentoring/leading a team of modeling & simulation experts
