Linux System Administrator (DNS SME)
Seeking a senior Linux System Administrator with deep DNS expertise to operate, maintain, and improve large-scale production DNS platforms. The role focuses on DNS design/implementation/operations, complex troubleshooting across Linux/*nix and networking, and building automation/tooling (preferably in Python) using infrastructure-as-code and configuration management. Essential
Required Qualifications
DNS expertise (design, implementation, operations, troubleshooting)
Linux/*nix system administration (RHEL-like)
Networking fundamentals and protocols (packet flow understanding)
DNS platforms: BIND and/or PowerDNS
Scripting/coding in at least one language (Python preferred; or Perl/PHP/C++/Go)
Troubleshooting complex system/network/DNS issues and root-cause analysis
Automation/tooling mindset (develop/maintain internal tools and services)
Infrastructure as Code / configuration management exposure (Terraform, Ansible)
Cloud exposure (AWS and/or GCP)
Production operations: high availability, performance, reliability at scale
Documentation/runbooks/SOPs for operational continuity
Flexibility to work US shift/outside India standard hours
Preferred

BS degree in CS/EE or equivalent industry experience
Monitoring and alerting for DNS infrastructure
Experience evaluating/adopting new technologies to improve reliability/scalability
