Lead Engineer / Lead Designer – Exterior Trim & Automotive Lighting Systems

What You'll Be Doing.

Lead design and development of bumper, ORVM, claddings, roof rails, EV charge port, fuel filler assemblies, decorative trims and lighting integrations.

Manage project execution, task allocation, design reviews, schedule tracking and team performance.

Drive engineering activities from concept to implementation including QFD, benchmarking, DFMEA, DVP, validation and release.

Prepare and manage BOM for exterior systems.

Define mounting strategies, master sections and interface requirements.

Coordinate with OEMs, suppliers, manufacturing vendors and cross functional teams.

07

Mentor junior engineers and support competency development.

Exterior trim design (bumper, ORVM, claddings, roof rails, charge port/fuel filler, decorative trims)

Automotive lighting systems integration (exterior & interior lamps)

Concept-to-release product development (QFD, benchmarking, DFMEA, DVP, validation, release)

BOM preparation/management for exterior systems

Mounting strategy definition, master sections, interface requirements

Plastic part design knowledge

Tooling and manufacturing process knowledge for plastics

Mould flow analysis knowledge

Homologation and regulatory requirements understanding

GD&T proficiency

Assembly, testing and validation knowledge

CATIA V5 (solid, surface, assembly modeling, 3D annotations)

PLM exposure (Teamcenter TCE/TCUA)

DMU (Digital Mock-Up)

MS Excel and PowerPoint
