Lead Engineer / Lead Designer – Exterior Trim & Automotive Lighting Systems
Lead the design and development of automotive exterior trim parts and integrated lighting systems (exterior/interior lamps), owning delivery across schedule, cost, quality, and stakeholder coordination. The role covers concept-to-release engineering (QFD, benchmarking, DFMEA, DVP, validation/release), BOM ownership, mounting/master section/interface definition, and collaboration with OEMs, suppliers, and manufacturing vendors. Requires strong CATIA V5 (solid/surface/assembly/3D annotations), PLM exposure (Teamcenter/DMU), plastic part design and manufacturing/tooling knowledge, GD&T, and understanding of homologation/regulatory requirements, plus team mentoring and design review leadership.

Manage project execution, task allocation, design reviews, schedule tracking and team performance.

Drive engineering activities from concept to implementation including QFD, benchmarking, DFMEA, DVP, validation and release.

Prepare and manage BOM for exterior systems.

Define mounting strategies, master sections and interface requirements.

Coordinate with OEMs, suppliers, manufacturing vendors and cross functional teams.

Exterior trim design (bumper, ORVM, claddings, roof rails, charge port/fuel filler, decorative trims)
Automotive lighting systems integration (exterior & interior lamps)
Concept-to-release product development (QFD, benchmarking, DFMEA, DVP, validation, release)
BOM preparation/management for exterior systems
Mounting strategy definition, master sections, interface requirements
Plastic part design knowledge
Tooling and manufacturing process knowledge for plastics
Mould flow analysis knowledge
Homologation and regulatory requirements understanding
GD&T proficiency
Assembly, testing and validation knowledge
CATIA V5 (solid, surface, assembly modeling, 3D annotations)
PLM exposure (Teamcenter TCE/TCUA)
