Lead Engineer (Java/Spring Boot, Event-Driven, GCP)

Lead Engineer to join a 12-person Marketplace team building and operating a scalable, highly available platform. You will own technical vision and architecture decisions, drive code quality and engineering best practices, mentor engineers, and contribute hands-on to complex feature delivery and problem solving. Joining a team of 12 people is at the heart of the Marketplace's business strategy. Our mission is to design, build and operate a scalable and highly available platform ("excellence by design"), to welcome more and more sellers and offer them the best possible sales experience.

As an experienced engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, performance and evolution of this business-critical service.

As a Lead Engineer, you are the technical guarantor and key referent of the team. You provide technical leadership and project supervision.

Architecture & Decision: Define and support the technical vision of the platform. You are responsible for the design of complex system architectures and make key technical decisions.

Technical Leadership: Take leadership on the quality of code and development practices ("excellence by design").

Mentoring & Coaching: Coaching, coaching and technical development of team members

Development: Participate in the development of complex functionalities, providing your expertise on the resolution of complex technical problems.

Quality & Stability: You are responsible for the general availability of the application.

Governance & Monitoring: Lead tech rituals, participate in technical governance (GIS) and ensure an active watch on technologies and trends in the sector.

Business Vision: Understand business issues and ensure that they are correctly translated by your team.
