Lead Centric PLM Functional Consultant

Senior lead functional consultant to drive Centric PLM (Centric 8 / latest) implementations, upgrades, and modernization for F&B/CPG/Retail clients. The role leads requirements workshops, fit-gap, functional specs/user stories, and hands-on Centric configuration (workflows/lifecycle, templates, attributes, security), plus supports integrations (ERP/MDM/QMS/LIMS/Artwork), testing (SIT/UAT), and data migration readiness. Strong advantage for F&B domain expertise in recipe/formulation, packaging BOM, nutritional/allergen calculations, and EU regulatory compliance (EFSA/EU labeling/PPWR). Based near Amsterdam with frequent client travel; English required, Dutch a plus; Agile/Scrum delivery.

What You'll Be Doing.

Requirement Engineering: Lead discovery workshops and design sessions to collect, analyze, and challenge complex business processes.

Process Optimization: Map legacy workflows to out-of-the-box Centric PLM capabilities to minimize customization and drive standardized best practices.

Fit-Gap & Specifications: Author high-quality functional specifications, user stories, and system configuration blueprints.

System Design & Setup: Define and configure lifecycle states, workflows, templates, localized attributes, and system security parameters.

Data & Integrations: Define data models supporting BOM management, costing, and sourcing. Support integration mapping with MDM, ERP, QMS, LIMS, and Artwork Management systems.

Validation & Support: Support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) execution, and facilitate data migration prep.

Formulation & Packaging: Advise on configuring formulation tools, automated nutritional/allergen calculations, ingredient specifications, and complex packaging BOMs.

Regulatory Compliance: Guide configuration strategies that align product development workflows with European regulatory standards (EFSA, EU labeling, and PPWR).

Adoption: Create user training documentation and lead system walkthroughs to drive high user-adoption rates across cross-functional R&D and supply chain teams.

PLM Expertise: 10–12 years of enterprise PLM consulting experience, with 5+ years of dedicated, hands-on configuration/delivery experience on Centric PLM (Centric 8 / latest versions).

F&B/CPG Knowledge (Strong Plus): Deep understanding of New Product Development (NPD), formulation, specification management, and private label processes.

Consulting Leadership: Proven track record of managing senior client stakeholders and leading functional implementation teams.

Required Qualifications

Centric PLM functional consulting (5+ years hands-on configuration/delivery)

Enterprise PLM consulting experience (10–12 years)

Requirements engineering (discovery workshops, process analysis)

Fit-gap analysis and functional specifications/user stories

Centric PLM configuration: lifecycle states, workflows, templates, localized attributes, security/roles

Data modeling for BOM management, costing, and sourcing

Support for integrations mapping (ERP, MDM, QMS, LIMS, Artwork Management)

SIT/UAT support and test execution support

Data migration preparation/support

Stakeholder management and leading functional implementation teams

Agile/Scrum ways of working

Professional fluency in English

Willingness to travel to client site ~3 days/week; Amsterdam area/hybrid
