In-house Legal Counsel (IT Contracts & Government Tenders)

Hire an in-house legal counsel (10–15 years) for a professional services/IT organization to review government tenders (RFP/EOI), draft/review/negotiate and finalize IT/commercial contracts on both client and vendor sides (software purchase/licensing, SaaS/PaaS, system integration, AMS, reselling, teaming, GTM, outsourcing). The role also covers internal policies/templates/SOPs, legal/compliance/risk advisory to business leadership, regulator/client responses, legal research, employee-related matters, and team management. LLB is required with strong English communication and computer working knowledge; CA Act/ICAI code of ethics knowledge is a plus.

What You'll Be Doing.

The candidate should have the relevant experience of Reviewing of Government tenders, Request for Proposals, EOIs, etc.

Adept in drafting of internal policies, standard templates, and SoPs

Handling general legal, compliance and risk related queries from Business Units and Support functions.

Replying to Regulators/Clients/Administrative bodies on various issues and notices

Providing advisory support to business leadership

Knowledge of CA Act & ICAI code of ethics would be an added advantage

Computer working knowledge is must Profile Description

Experience in professional services organization or Consultancy services or IT sector.

Well-versed with various laws and regulations of India.

Effective English communication skills (spoken and written) along with Computer knowledge.

Experience of working with big consultancy firms as part of their inhouse legal team would be added advantage.

Required Qualifications

LLB qualification

Reviewing government tenders (RFPs, EOIs, tenders)

Drafting, reviewing, negotiating and finalizing commercial contracts

IT contracts expertise (software purchase, software licensing, SaaS, PaaS, system integration, application management services)

Vendor-side and client-side contracting experience

Handling legal, compliance and risk queries from business/support functions

Drafting internal policies, standard templates and SOPs

Replying to regulators/clients/administrative bodies (notices, queries)

Legal research

Employee-related legal matters handling

Team management

Strong English communication (spoken and written)

Computer working knowledge

Well-versed with Indian laws and regulations (general)

Experience in professional services/consultancy/IT sector

Preferred

Nice to Have

Experience in big consultancy firms as part of in-house legal team

Knowledge of Companies Act (CA Act)

Knowledge of ICAI Code of Ethics
