IBM Integrations Developer (DataPower & App Connect Enterprise)

Design, build, and run enterprise integrations using IBM DataPower (MPGW/XML Firewall/API Gateway) and IBM App Connect Enterprise (message flows, ESQL, JavaCompute). Responsibilities

What You'll Be Doing.

Develop integrations using IBM DataPower (MPGW, XML Firewall, API Gateway) and ACE (message flows, ESQL, JavaCompute).

Build secure connections for internal apps and third-party partners (REST, SOAP, MQ, SFTP).

Maintain platforms: apply patches, perform upgrades, monitor health, and optimize performance.

Manage TLS certificate lifecycle: CSRs, imports, renewals, and deployment across environments.

Implement security policies: mTLS, OAuth/JWT, rate limiting, schema validation, and threat protection.

Automate deployments via CI/CD; manage configuration bundles and BAR files.

Troubleshoot issues using logs/traces; ensure SLA compliance and high availability.

Document API specs, integration patterns, and operational runbooks.

5+ years in IT operations, incident management, or SRE roles.

IBM MQ, OpenShift/Kubernetes, Git, DevSecOps, scripting (Python/Bash).

Serverless API architectures using EventBridge, step functions, lambdas, CDK/terraform/cloud formation (IaC) using Python, GitHub

Migration Strategy: Assess existing on-premises DataPower and ACE workloads and define technical strategies for their migration, modernization, or replacement on the AWS cloud.

Required Qualifications

IBM DataPower (MPGW, XML Firewall, API Gateway)

IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) / IBM Integration Bus concepts (message flows, ESQL, JavaCompute)

Integration protocols: REST, SOAP, IBM MQ, SFTP

TLS certificate lifecycle management (CSR, import, renewals, deployment)

API/integration security: mTLS, OAuth, JWT, rate limiting, schema validation, threat protection

CI/CD automation for deployments; BAR files and configuration bundles

Troubleshooting using logs/traces; SLA and high availability mindset

IT operations / incident management / SRE experience (5+ years)

ITIL incident/problem/change processes

ServiceNow Major Incident Management (including Notify integrations)

Containers and orchestration: OpenShift/Kubernetes; Docker

AWS migration/implementation for DataPower/ACE (Virtual/Container editions) on ECS/EKS
