GIS / Digital Twin Consultant (ArcGIS, PostGIS)

Contract role based in Ahmedabad for a GIS and Digital Twin consultant to support government/public sector engagements. The person will build GIS maps, dashboards, web GIS apps and spatial visualizations using ArcGIS (Pro/Online/Enterprise) and/or QGIS; perform spatial analysis and geospatial data management; manage spatial databases (PostgreSQL/PostGIS, SQL Server) and enterprise geodatabases; and contribute to 3D GIS/Digital Twin solutions for smart cities and infrastructure. The role also requires strong documentation skills (DPRs/RFPs/roadmaps/specs), stakeholder workshops/requirements, and support for proposals and program activities.

Support GIS and Digital Twin workstreams across government and public sector engagements

Develop GIS maps, dashboards, web applications, and spatial visualizations using ArcGIS (Pro, Online, Enterprise) and QGIS Perform spatial analysis, geocoding, georeferencing, geospatial data management, and database administration

Support the design and implementation of 3D GIS and Digital Twin solutions for Smart Cities and infrastructure projects

Conduct geospatial data analysis, spatial modeling, and thematic mapping for urban planning and infrastructure applications

Manage spatial databases (PostgreSQL/PostGIS, SQL Server) and enterprise geodatabases

Develop web GIS applications and Location Intelligence solutions

Create technical documentation, system architecture diagrams, and implementation specifications

Prepare project documentation, presentations, concept notes, DPRs, RFPs, business cases, and technical reports for client presentations

Assist in cost estimation, financial analysis, project planning, PMU support, and program monitoring activities

Support strategic roadmap development, digital transformation initiatives, and geospatial adoption frameworks for public sector clients

Engage with stakeholders for requirement gathering, workshops, solution design, and capacity-building activities

Support proposal development, solutioning, and business development initiatives

Required Qualifications

Hands-on experience with ArcGIS Pro and/or ArcGIS Online and/or ArcGIS Enterprise and/or QGIS

Spatial analysis (including geocoding, georeferencing, spatial modeling, thematic mapping)

Geospatial data management and geodatabases (enterprise geodatabases)

Spatial databases and administration: PostgreSQL/PostGIS and/or SQL Server

Web GIS concepts and development of web GIS applications / location intelligence solutions

Exposure to 3D GIS and Digital Twin technologies/solutions

Working knowledge of programming/automation: Python and/or JavaScript and/or SQL and/or GIS automation tools

ETL processes and data quality assurance for geospatial data

Technical documentation: DPRs, RFPs, implementation roadmaps, technical specifications

Domain understanding: government/public sector programs, urban development, infrastructure planning (public sector consulting context)
