Front-End Developer (Design System / Web Components - Lit) - Contract

What You'll Be Doing.

You will work in a small, focused team with developers, designers, and UX writers/content designers. The work is both about further developing components and making them easy to understand, use, and maintain for other teams.

The assignment involves stepping into an existing design systems team during parental leave, with a focus on continuity, quality and further development of ongoing work.

At least 3–5 years of experience in front-end development.

Good knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript.

Experience in component-based frontend development, preferably with React.

Practical experience with web components, preferably with Lit.

Experience building, managing, or contributing to component libraries or design systems.

Basic understanding of accessibility in front-end development, including WCAG principles, semantics, and keyboard navigation.

Experience with version control and CI/CD flows.

Experience collaborating closely with designers, UX writers/content designers and other developers.

Ability to clearly document components, guidelines and technical decisions.

In-depth practical experience in accessible component development, such as WCAG review, ARIA, focus behaviors, and testing with screen readers.
