Embedded/System Test Engineer (Manual + Automation, Python)
Contract role in Bangalore (ADBL location) for a test engineer to create production-grade test artifacts and execute end-to-end verification across system, integration, and regression testing. Responsible for all levels of software testing (System, Integration, and Regression) ·

Knowledge on all phase of STLC – Test Plan, Test case design, Test execution and Test Report generation.

Detect and track software defects and inconsistencies

Design and develop automation framework and scripts in python. Experience with Pytest framework would be an advantage.

Generating test reports from continuous integration/Jenkins/Git

Collaborate closely with other team members and departments

Apply software engineering and quality principles in software verification

Bachelor’s/master’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent and 3-6 Years of related industry experience.

Experience in using any of the industry standard test frameworks – Test Stack/ Robot framework/ Auto It/ NI LabView / Spectron / Pytest

Background in system testing (including drivers like SPI, I2C, UART), RTOS based applications, Linux/Android based applications, etc.

Working knowledge of software development tools (debugger’s, emulators, compilers, etc.).

Essential
Required Qualifications
STLC expertise (test plan, test case design, execution, reporting)
Manual testing: system, integration, regression, sanity, functional
Defect detection, logging, tracking, and verification
Test automation framework development and scripting in Python
Experience with at least one test framework/tool: TestStack, Robot Framework, AutoIt, NI LabVIEW, Spectron, Pytest
CI/CD usage for testing and reporting using Jenkins and Git
System/embedded testing background including interfaces/drivers (SPI, I2C, UART)
Testing RTOS-based applications
Testing Linux and/or Android based applications
Debugging in real-time/embedded, multiprocessor, multi-interface environments
Working knowledge of development tools: debuggers, emulators, compilers
Ability to reproduce complex issues and propose solutions
Good verbal and written communication

Pytest framework experience
Experience generating automated test reports from CI pipelines
Electrical/Computer Engineering degree (or equivalent)
