Data Privacy & Contract Review Specialist
Hire a Data Privacy & Contract Review Specialist (4–7 years) in Pune for a permanent role to review, draft and negotiate privacy and security clauses across MSAs/SOWs/DPAs and vendor contracts. Conduct Privacy Contract Reviews and identify privacy, data protection and data security risks.

Review Vendor Contracts from data privacy, confidentiality, information security and regulatory compliance perspectives.

Perform Data Privacy Impact Assessments (DPIA) and Transfer Impact Assessments (TIA) for relevant data processing and cross-border data transfers.

Assess contractual requirements relating to Personal Data, Sensitive Personal Data, Data Processing, Data Transfer, Sub-processors and Data Security.

Review and provide legal comments on Data Processing Agreements (DPA), Data Protection Addendums and vendor privacy schedules.

Required Qualifications
Data privacy / data protection law knowledge
Privacy contract review (privacy/data protection clauses)
Vendor contract review (privacy, confidentiality, information security, regulatory compliance)
Reviewing Data Processing Agreements (DPA) / data protection addendums
Data security requirements understanding (contractual security controls, incident/breach notification)
DPIA (Data Privacy Impact Assessment) and/or TIA (Transfer Impact Assessment) experience
Cross-border / international data transfer requirements understanding
Contract interpretation and clause drafting/review/negotiation skills
Stakeholder collaboration with Legal, Procurement, Information Security, Compliance/Risk and business teams
Strong written and verbal communication
Preferred

Experience with terms & conditions (T&C) reviews for privacy/security obligations
Experience maintaining formal records of contract reviews, risks, exceptions and approvals
Experience tracking changes in data protection/privacy laws and assessing contractual/process impact
Experience negotiating indemnity/liability clauses related to privacy breaches
Experience reviewing sub-processor, audit rights, retention/deletion, and regulatory cooperation clauses
