Collaborate with other linguists and data operations teams in data collection, data curation, translation, localization and annotation efforts

Bachelor’s degree/Master’s degree in general Linguistics or Computational Linguistics, Translation, Computer Science, Speech Science, or related field

Knowledge of syntax, semantics, pragmatics, sociolinguistics, corpus linguistics, and other areas of linguistics

Native fluency in Arabic of Gulf Arabic (also known as Khaleeji), and proficient in MSA (i.e., reading and writing in Modern Standard Arabic)

Essential
Required Qualifications
Linguistics knowledge including syntax, semantics, pragmatics, sociolinguistics, and corpus linguistics
Native fluency in Gulf Arabic (Khaleeji) and reading and writing proficiency in Modern Standard Arabic (MSA)
Experience working with speech and text data in multiple languages
Experience with language annotation or other data markup and tagging
Ability to create annotation systems and guidelines and develop consistent linguistic analyses
Experience evaluating and curating datasets for ML models and assessing model and data quality
Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs) and their applications
Familiarity with regular expressions (regex)
Basic or intermediate proficiency in Python, SQL, or another programming language
Experience with database queries and data analysis processes, such as SQL or spreadsheets
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a listed or related field
