Data Center Operations / Infrastructure Technician (Rack & Stack, DCIM, ITSM)

Perform racking, stacking, installation, and commissioning of servers, storage systems, and associated data center hardware.

Support data center infrastructure expansion, production onboarding, and hardware readiness activities.

Execute decommissioning and retirement of legacy infrastructure, including servers and storage devices.

Troubleshoot and resolve hardware-related issues involving power supplies, batteries, controllers, cabling, and connectivity components.

Coordinate inter-site hardware movement, logistics activities, and vendor communications for infrastructure deployments.

Maintain accurate asset inventory, lifecycle tracking, rack elevation details, and infrastructure documentation using DCIM tools such as SunBird, Device42.

Utilize ITSM and project management tools including ServiceNow and Jira for incident management, request tracking, change management, and operational coordination.

Collaborate with remote data center teams and cross-functional engineering groups to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve operational incidents.

Monitor and ensure adherence to SLA and MSA commitments across Data Center operations and infrastructure services.

Manage facility requirements including space allocation, power, cooling, structured cabling, under-floor cabling, fiber, and dark fiber connectivity.

Provide hardware asset details, serial numbers, and asset tagging information to procurement and billing teams for PO processing.

Essential
Required Qualifications
Data center operations and infrastructure lifecycle (deployment, commissioning, decommissioning/retirement)
Rack and stack (racking/stacking/installation) of servers, storage, and data center hardware
Hardware troubleshooting (power supplies, batteries, controllers, cabling, connectivity)
Structured cabling and power management (including under-floor cabling and fiber)
Asset inventory and lifecycle tracking; rack elevations and documentation
DCIM tool experience (SunBird DC Track and/or Device42 and/or Nlyte)
ITSM/ticketing and change/incident management using ServiceNow and/or Jira
Coordination with remote teams and cross-functional engineering for incident resolution
Understanding of data center facility constraints: space, power, cooling
SLA/MSA adherence and operational reporting/status updates
Compliance with data center operational standards and safety guidelines
