CAD Mechanical Design Engineer – Glass Systems (Vehicle Engineering)
Contract role in Sweden for Volvo Cars Vehicle Engineering (Side & Roof) within the Glass Systems group. You will design and industrialize vehicle glass components (windscreen, rear screen, door/quarter glass, glass roof) and related rails in cross-functional teams from early engineering through production release. The work is build-to-print at VCC and includes creating/updating CAD delivery models, 3D PMI, template updates, mechanical integration in engineering templates, and clash analysis prior to release. Strong CATIA V5 and Teamcenter skills are required, along with solid plastic construction knowledge; glass construction knowledge is a plus. Proficient English and readiness for a background check are required.

Glass Systems is responsible for the development of all glasses on the car (windscreen, rear screen, door glasses, Quarter-glass and glass roof) as well as rails. The group consists of 14 engineers with a mix of nationalities, gender, and ages.

Volvo Cars require that an adequate background check has been completed prior to the start of the assignment, meaning that you, as the supplier, must have conducted the requested level/-s of background check as soon as possible after your candidate has been chosen for the assignment.

If any deviations or discrepancies occur, the supplier should inform Ework and the candidate should not be moving forward in the procurement process.
