Automotive Interior Trim Design Engineer (Door/Pillar/Headliner)

Design and develop automotive interior trim components (door trims, pillar trims, headliners) from concept through validation and release. The role covers CAD preparation with 3D annotations, creation of TPL/DCR and change part lists, and DML releases via PLM (TCE/TCUA). You will drive packaging and mounting strategy, master sections, manufacturing/assembly feasibility, benchmarking/tear-down studies, cost reduction, and supplier/RFQ technical coordination, including line tryouts to resolve build issues.

Product design, development and validation of interior parts such as Door Trims, Pillar Trims and Headliners.

CAD preparation, 3D annotation, TPL creation and DML releases.

DCR creation along with change part list preparation.

Benchmarking and tear-down studies.

Cost reduction and cost management activities.

Mold flow analysis experience will be an added advantage.

Experience in mounting strategy, master sections, packaging feasibility, manufacturing and assembly feasibility of interior trims parts.

Product design, layout freeze and packaging finalization.

Release RFQ with technical inputs and product characteristics.

Coordinate with suppliers, finalize technical scope and prepare technical synopsis.
