Automotive EV Battery Packaging / CAD Design Engineer (CATIA + Teamcenter)
Contract role in Chennai for a 6–8 years Automotive EV CAD/packaging engineer to create 3D CAD and 2D drawings in CATIA V5/V6 and manage data in Teamcenter. The engineer will define packaging concepts and perform vehicle/battery-pack integration including interference/clearance checks, mounting strategy, electrical isolation, HV/LV interface packaging, harness routing, thermal/vibration considerations, and assembly/serviceability, including design of BMS housings, brackets, covers and mounting features. Shift timing is 12 noon to 9 pm.

Automotive EV domain experience (only EV)
CATIA V5 and/or CATIA V6 (3D CAD design and 2D drawing creation)
Teamcenter (PLM)
Battery pack / vehicle packaging and integration
Interference/clearance checking
Packaging concept definition (space constraints, envelopes, clearances, accessibility)
Mounting strategy and bracket/interface design
Electrical isolation considerations for HV systems
Harness routing and connector accessibility considerations
Thermal considerations in packaging
Vibration and mechanical loading considerations
Assembly and serviceability considerations
