Responsibilities

What You'll Be Doing.

Analyse API specifications, business requirements and Swagger/OpenAPI documentation.

Design and execute functional, integration, regression, negative and end-to-end API test scenarios.

Develop and maintain API automation frameworks using Rest Assured with Java.

Perform API validation using Postman, SoapUI or similar tools.

Validate HTTP methods, response codes, headers, payloads, authentication and authorization.

Validate JSON/XML responses, database records and data integrity using SQL.

Implement reusable automation components and BDD frameworks using Cucumber where applicable.

Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub or GitLab.

Identify defects, analyse failures, perform root-cause analysis and coordinate with development teams.

Participate in Agile ceremonies, test planning, reviews and release validation.
