AD Device Management / Quest Migration Engineer (Entra ID, Intune, AD)

Looking for a senior engineer (10–15 years) to own Active Directory and modern device management with a strong migration focus using Quest tools. The role covers AD domain/forest and GPO administration, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) identity services, and endpoint management via Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Endpoint Manager (SCCM/MECM). You will automate and support migrations of users/devices toward cloud adoption, enforce security/compliance (policies, patching, threat mitigation), and provide Tier 2/3 troubleshooting for device and identity issues across Windows endpoints.

What You'll Be Doing.

Active Directory Management: Administering AD domains, forests, Group Policies, and user accounts.

Device Management: Implementing and managing mobile device management (MDM) and endpoint management solutions like Microsoft Intune to enroll, configure, and secure devices.

Identity and Access Management: Configuring and managing cloud-based identity and authentication services, such as Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD).

Automation and Migration: Using tools to automate AD tasks and assist with migrating users and devices to new platforms, often with a focus on cloud adoption.

Security: Ensuring devices and the network are secure and compliant with company policies through patching, security policy implementation, and threat mitigation.

System Administration: Performing system administration tasks on Windows systems, including patching and managing applications.

Technical Support: Providing Tier 2/3 support for escalated device and user management issues.

Microsoft Technologies: Deep knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Endpoint Manager (MECM/SCCM), and Microsoft Entra ID.

Quest Solutions: Experience with Quest's Active Directory management and migration solutions, such as Quest On-Demand Migration.

MDM/MAM: Expertise in Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Mobile Application Management (MAM).

Troubleshooting: Strong ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues related to devices, users, and AD infrastructure.

Security Principles: Understanding of security best practices for device and network security.
